Leadership is evolving
and so are you

At a certain point in leadership, doing more stops working.

Experience grows. Responsibility increases. Results still matter.
And yet, the familiar tools begin to feel insufficient.

The biggest leadership challenge today is no longer strategy, speed, or intelligence.

Leadership now asks something different:

      • less effort, more presence;
      • fewer answers, more space for complexity;
      • honesty without hardening;
        emotional depth without fear.

For years, your sharp mind set you apart.
It brought you here.

What takes you forward now is something different.

So, what's
really changing in Leadership?

Leadership today is no longer solely defined by what you do, say, or decide.

It’s increasingly shaped by how you show up.

Your presence.
Your nervous system.
The energetic signal you send, often long before you speak.

When you are settled, others settle.
When you are reactive, systems shrink.

This may sound abstract, but it actually concretely shows up in:

– how decisions are received

– how teams respond under pressure

– how much trust and safety you create (when you’re not even trying)

Leadership doesn’t start with strategy.
It starts with regulation.

Leadership

is influencing people and systems from a place where not everyone sees what you see.

It’s about holding direction, growing people, shaping context.

Management

is making things run: organising, planning, executing.

Both matter,
but they’re not interchangeable.

You manage things. You lead people.

My feeling is that this is probably where you are right now:

Even though it’s within reach, your ambition of climbing to the top suddenly doesn’t feel so relevant anymore.

Reaching more KPI’s with yet another team doesn’t sound as appealing as it did a couple of years ago. Instead of the drive that made you tick, you now mainly feel doubt, uncertainty and, if you’re really honest, more than a little bored.

You have the feeling there may be another way to do it. That maybe you could feel more free, experience more joy, without actually having to burn all the bridges you’ve so painstakingly build.

Without understanding what’s happening and a structured way forward you won’t change anything, you know that much. Left to your own device, this nagging voice will be on the back-burner for yet another year.

Which is exactly why I created The Turn.

My own Turn

Earlier in my career, I was highly effective, and increasingly misaligned.

I spent almost a decade working in government, often in roles just beyond my comfort zone. I learned fast, gained responsibility quickly, and was seen as high potential.

From the outside, everything pointed upward.

From the inside, something didn’t add up.

Despite my understanding of authentic leadership, my sense of impact and self-worth had become closely tied to external validation – approval, recognition, the next step up.

Intellectually, I knew that mature leadership rests on internal authority rather than outside confirmation. I just wasn’t living it yet.

That contradiction became impossible to ignore.

It was my own turn: the point where the way I’d been leading had got me there and stopped fitting, and something asked to change before I could name it.

Why I do this work

That tension is where my work was born.

One of the first places it took shape (after quitting my job, a sabbatical in San Francisco and founding my coaching practice) was on the page. First in a blog, and then in 2019 I wrote The Mindful Guide to Conflict Resolution (Adams Media/Simon & Schuster), built around a method I called PAUSE: a way to stop reacting from the old, ingrained pathways and start responding to what’s actually in front of you.

I’ve been developing that same principle with senior leaders ever since. The book was about conflict because conflict is where reactivity is most ‘expensive’; the work since has been about everything (else) it touches.

Today, I work with senior leaders and entrepreneurs who are capable, creative and responsible, and who are aware – on some level – that the old way of leading no longer fits.

This has nothing to do with failure, and everything with being ready.

Ready to lead from inner clarity rather than pressure.
Ready to trust themselves without needing constant confirmation.
Ready to create impact while bringing out the best in their team, the business and the situation.

This is leadership beyond survival mode.
Grounded. Coherent. Sustainable.

How I work

My work is impactful, challenging and deeply human. I combine strategic clarity, nervous-system awareness, inner and energetic insight, and real-world leadership challenges, always in service of practical impact.

I work the same shift at three levels: the body: how you’re wired and how you regulate; your beliefs: the stories running underneath; and your behaviour: how you actually lead, tested in the real world. Change that happens in only one of them tends to slide back. Held across all three, it lasts.

I combine:

  • strategic clarity
  • nervous-system awareness
  • inner and energetic insight
  • real-world leadership challenges

Always in service of practical impact.

This is not about fixing yourself.
It’s not about performing better.
And it’s not about becoming someone else.

It is about:

  • reclaiming inner authority
  • learning to regulate before you respond
  • making decisions from clarity rather than urgency
  • leading in a way that others naturally trust

I don’t tell you who to be.
I don’t save you.
I don’t take responsibility away from you.

I walk alongside you as you learn to trust your own signal and lead from there.

If this resonates, you’re likely at a point
where your ready to shift into a way of leading - and being - that actually fits the real you.

From here, you can explore The Turn, my six-month container, or book a short conversation to feel whether we're a fit.
