My Musing this week is about support, a topic I see is a bit challenging for many leaders. At first glance, most leaders report they have great support: their boss, their colleagues, their friends, their partner all support them.
However, when I dig a little deeper, that support is most often quite shallow: their boss actually has high expectations and is quite demanding, their colleagues are really striving for the same more senior positions, and their friends and partners love them, and listen for a bit, but don't really know what is going on in their world.
